Meet Nataliya Ilkiv

Nataliya Ilkiv is a contemporary abstract artist whose work explores the relationship between color, emotion, memory, and cultural identity. Her practice merges printmaking, abstraction, and material exploration to create works that invite personal interpretation and emotional connection.

Born and raised in Ukraine, Ilkiv’s cultural heritage has become an important influence within her artistic journey. Her current work expands this exploration through the visual language of Ukrainian embroidery, incorporating screen printing and textiles to transform traditional motifs into contemporary abstract expressions.

In 2026, Ilkiv will release three interconnected collections—Vyshyvanka Unbound, Unbroken Threads, and The Power of Embroidery—exploring heritage, memory, and the enduring connections between generations.

Her work includes large-scale installations and commissioned pieces held in private collections in Chicago and New York, as well as contributions to fundraising and institutional initiatives supporting Ukraine.
